Who can use this feature?

Hiring Assistant is available as an add-on for LinkedIn Recruiter and LinkedIn Recruiter Professional Services Plus (RPS+) customers. To use Hiring Assistant, you must be assigned the Hiring Assistant Permission and set your language preference to English. We’re gradually making this experience available, and you might not have access to it at this time. Learn more about Hiring Assistant here.

After you create a project with Hiring Assistant, your LinkedIn Recruiter homepage will display a notification in the upper-right corner when the list of candidates is ready for you to start your outreach. You can also start your outreach from the top of your project’s Pipeline page. Hiring Assistant can help you message up to 25 candidates at once.

When you draft a message using Hiring Assistant, you can choose to enable automated prescreening to gather information from interested candidates. This can help save time so you can focus on sourcing the right candidates.

To message candidates with Hiring Assistant:

  1. Click the Hiring Assistant icon at the top of your Recruiter homepage, next to your profile picture, to open the Hiring Assistant dashboard.

  2. Click the Start outreach button below your project. Hiring Assistant will take you to the project’s Pipeline page.

  3. In the Compose Message window, click a candidate’s name to review the AI-generated message draft. The message draft will be uniquely tailored to each candidate.

  4. Optional: Add a follow-up message.

    • Note: Follow-up messages aren’t AI generated and the same follow-up message will be sent to all candidates.
  5. Optional: Add automated prescreening next to Save time with automated prescreening. Click Add to add it for a single candidate or click Add for all to add it when sending a bulk message. You can modify the introduction message, add or remove prescreening questions, and modify the closing message as needed.

    • Toggle off Same for all candidates to use different prescreening questions for each candidate. The same introduction and closing will be sent to all users if you’re sending a bulk message.
  6. Optional: Click Preview to review the message the candidate(s) will receive.

  7. Optional: Click the Remove icon next to a recipient’s name to remove them from the recipient list, or click the Archive button to archive a candidate.

  8. Once you're satisfied with the message draft, click the Send to [name] button to send the message to one candidate at a time or click Send to All to send the message to all candidates.
