Leave a group chat

If a group chat is not relevant to you, you can always leave the group. Leaving a group chat will permanently remove you from the thread.

Once you leave:

  • You won’t receive new messages or notifications.

  • You cannot reply or rejoin the group chat.

  • All participants in the group chat will be notified that you have left.

  • A note that says You left this conversation appears in the group chat.

To leave a group chat:

  1. Click the  Messaging icon at the top of your LinkedIn homepage.

    • You can also click on the messaging conversation window at the lower-right corner of your LinkedIn homepage.

  2. Open the group chat.

  3. Click the  More icon in the upper-right corner of the group chat.

  4. Click Leave conversation.
  5. Click Leave to confirm.
