Close a LinkedIn service provider project

Last updated: 9 months ago

When you finish work on a project as a LinkedIn service provider, you can close the project. You can either mark the project as complete or archive it:

  • Complete - Project will be moved from the Active tab to the Completed tab. After you mark a project as complete, your client will receive an automatic invitation to review your services without using one of your 20 invitation credits. You may want to mark a project as complete when your work is finished.
  • Archive - Project will be moved from the Active tab to the Archived tab. Clients won’t receive an automatic invitation to review your services. You may want to archive a project if you didn’t receive a reply from the client, or if it isn’t a good fit for your skillset.

Who can use this feature?

Service providers can only complete or archive a project after the buyer has responded to the proposal.

To close a project:

  1. Access your LinkedIn Service Page admin view.

Learn how to access your admin view for services you offer individually or services managed by your Company Page (available only on desktop).

  2. From the Admin view module, click Client projects.

  3. Click the project name.

    • To mark a project as complete, click the Mark as complete button.
    • To archive a project, click the More icon in the upper-right corner and click Archive project.
  4. Click Confirm.

Once you close a project, you can’t reopen it, but you can still message the client.
