Kristen, mother and caregiver, is optimistic about the bright future that lies ahead for Jack, her 9-year-old son living with spinal muscular atrophy. At just a few weeks old, Jack’s diagnosis left Kristen struggling to navigate a world of unknowns. But through every uncertainty and every challenge, Kristen has stayed by Jack’s side, leading with love and support. Like many others, she understands that her son’s #SMA diagnosis is just that: a diagnosis. Jack is capable of whatever he puts his mind to. This #NationalFamilyCaregiversMonth, we recognize the amazing people, like Kristen, who always show up, rain or shine, to care for their loved ones.

This past month, Scholar Rock presented data on our investigational muscle-targeted treatment for #SMA at the World Muscle Society Congress, the Congress of Neurological Surgeons (CNS), the Neuromuscular Study Group Annual Scientific Meeting, and the American Association of Neuromuscular & Electrodiagnostic Medicine (AANEM) Annual Meeting. Opportunities like these allow us to share data supporting our investigational muscle-targeted treatment and cultivate relationships with leading healthcare providers and researchers who are as fascinated by myostatin biology as we are.

We're proud to share that our work on Life Takes Muscle, a campaign that highlights the impact of muscle wasting in #SMA, has been awarded the Fierce Pharma Marketing Award for Best 2025 Podcast. Recognized alongside our partner for this project, Precision AQ, the Fierce Pharma Marketing Awards honor the most impactful campaigns in the healthcare industry. Launched last year, Life Takes Muscle is the first muscle focused disease education campaign in SMA. It offers resources and education surrounding progressive muscle wasting, while creating a community space for sharing knowledge, support, and some of the most prominent voices in the SMA community.
