Earlier this week, in preparation for the Thanksgiving holiday, colleagues in New York spent two days alongside the Association to Benefit Children (ABC) preparing, organizing and distributing food—including 1,000 turkeys!—for ABC’s annual Turkey Day. This annual event provides Thanksgiving meals that offer both nourishment and a moment of relief to hundreds of families in East Harlem. We extend our gratitude to organizations like ABC that work to ensure more families can celebrate today with a good meal. Wishing everyone a very happy Thanksgiving.

Where could 130/30 tax-managed equity fit in portfolios today? As tax-focused investing moves past basic stock picking, 130/30 strategies aim to boost what you keep after taxes without taking on more overall market risk. In our latest #DisruptiveForces episode, host Anu Rajakumar speaks with Ray Carroll, CIO at Neuberger's Breton Hill quantitative investing team, and Jacob Greene, Head Strategist for Custom Direct Investing, about what 130/30 tax-managed equity is, and how extensions can rejuvenate tax-loss harvesting for highly appreciated, long-tenured portfolios. In our latest Private Markets Outlook, we discuss why we believe private markets may be nearing an inflection point, presenting both new opportunities and risks, and putting an even greater premium on manager selection. This chart—highlighting global private equity returns by vintage and quartile—demonstrates the significant value that underwriting discipline and operational excellence can deliver. In this environment, we believe investors should consider managers with attractive track records, operational expertise and strong alignment with their LPs. For a closer look at ongoing shifts within private markets and their potential implications for investors, read the full Outlook here: http://spklr.io/6040BPMnM

Colleagues recently came out for a night of music and charity to support The Alpha Project, the Neuberger Band made up of talented employee musicians, at Klub 45 at Connolly’s in New York City, and we’re grateful for the incredible energy and generosity. Our annual concert proudly benefitted Neuberger's nonprofit partner, the Association to Benefit Children (ABC), with attendees contributing to ABC's Thanksgiving Turkey Day, which provides complete Thanksgiving meals for families in East Harlem.
