NBCLA and Telemundo 52 Los Angeles are hosting their eighth annual ‘Helping Our Community’ campaign now through Dec. 31 to help fight hunger across Southern California this holiday season. Since 2018, the campaign has raised more than $2.7 million, providing over 11 million meals to families across Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, and Ventura counties. NBC Bay Area, Telemundo 48 Área de la Bahía, and Safeway are teaming up once again for the 16th Annual ‘Nourishing Neighbors’ Holiday Hunger Campaign, running from Nov. 15 to Dec. 25 across 167 Safeway stores in the Bay Area. Last year’s campaign raised $4.7 million, providing over 9 million meals to Bay Area families. 🇺🇸 250 Days to America’s 250th On July 3–4, 2026, more than 50 Class A and B tall ships from 30 nations will sail into New York Harbor, joining 50 allied and U.S. gray-hulled vessels, the Queen Mary 2, and thousands of spectator boats in a breathtaking celebration of our nation’s Semiquincentennial. From the Verrazzano to the GW Bridge, this historic event—organized by the non-profit Sail4th 250—will be the largest maritime gathering in U.S. history, surpassing even the legendary OpSail parades. With eight million spectators expected, the celebration will feature an International Naval Review, an aerial salute by the Blue Angels, and the Macy's fireworks spectacular. NBCUniversal Local is a proud media partner of Sail4th 250.
