• Love the wordpress app. Always worked well for uploading media.

    All of a sudden…it won’t.

I can access the app. The app sees my sites. But there is not data attached (so I can’t see media, old posts, stuff like that).

When I click the “+” sign at the bottom, I keep geting this error:

“This blog is hidden and couldn’t be loaded. Enable it again in settings and…”

I am at a loss. Nothing on my blog is hidden…that I can see. I am so confused.

    Please help!

Are you able to share the address of the specific site giving this error?

The reason I’m asking is that self-hosted (aka WordPress.org) sites don’t have any “hidden” or private mode, so I’m wondering if this is a WordPress.com site or something else could be going on here.

If your WordPress app won’t fully connect to your site, it’s often due to issues like incorrect login credentials, Jetpack or REST API errors, plugin conflicts, or security/firewall restrictions. Troubleshooting these common causes can help restore a proper connection between the app and your WordPress site.

Hi @oscarone, if you are comfrorable sharing your site URL I’d be able to look into this closer. If you want to stay private, you can contact us via email using this form.

    Hi @oscarone ,

Thanks so much for reaching out — and for the kind words about the WordPress app! I’m really glad to hear it’s been working well for you until now.

That error message — “This blog is hidden and couldn’t be loaded. Enable it again in settings…” — usually means the app isn’t able to fully connect to your site at the moment, but we can help get things sorted.

Could you let us know the address of the site you’re running into trouble with? A few other helpful details:

    • Has this site connected successfully with the app in the past?
    • Do you recall when the issue started?
    • Have there been any recent changes to the site — like plugin updates or changes to hosting settings?

Once we have that info, we’ll be happy to take a closer look.

    Best,
