• Dear,

I’m trying to install a letsencrypt certificat but I get an error:
“Please confirm the DNS records of all domains selected for the SSL are pointed to the website”

    My hosts reply was:
This is going wrong with the URL rewrite, Because this url can’t be obtained true your website:

    http://tutbase.nl/.well-known/acme-challenge/EbArlOw61I8Cinx-KjC3KpB9Ud99-ezdp73BGJKjpOM

The .well-known directory has to be excluded from the website.

I didn’t understand this explenation at all 🙁 Could someone explain this to me? I don’t understand nothing at all about this explenation and my host isn’t replying. Could someone please explain this to me. 🙁

I even deleted wordpress from the website so the root directory was empty and letsencrypt still didn’t install.

    Thank you in advanced,

    Marco

Edit: I found the directory but I have no idea what to do with it.

WordPress does not manage SSL certificates. That is the responsibility of your hosting provider. Your hosting provider must also set up everything necessary, including providing the URLs required by LetsEncrypt. WordPress does not get involved in this.

So you’ll need to ask your host’s support team for help again. If they are not cooperative, you can also look for another host. To be honest, I’ve never seen a host have a problem with LetsEncrypt.
