Showing new Notes under Recent Comments in Dashboard is … tricky.

Showing new Notes under Recent Comments in Dashboard looks nice, at first sight.

But the reference to the associated post is not sufficient, because a note (content) regularly only makes sense in context to the associated block (content).

So, the offered options “Reply” and “Edit” doesn’t make much sense from within the Dashboard, when opening only the note itself.

Suggestions:
- Make the associated block as link target for Reply and Edit in Dashboard
- or (maybe better) exclude Notes from Dashboard completely.

It’s seems correct I have found this same issue.

In post’s comments column shows 4 comments, but when clicks on comments it’s shows nothing.

Thanks for flagging this. I think that showing them in Recent Comments on the Dashboard, as a count in the Mine filter in the Comments screen, and even more so as appearing on the frontend are unintended. I’ll open a GitHub issue to track this and share that link in a follow-up comment so folks can subscribe to that to get updates.

Exactly, I noticed this problem too and opened the issue there, although I wouldn’t call it a bug, but rather an inconvenience. It’s worth reporting such issues, as I did, to the Gutenberg team or in the Core Trac mentioned above. There, developers can classify and evaluate them much better. Here in the forum, we can talk about it, as we do, but nothing will change until a developer sees it and can take a look.
