Locked out of WordPress.org account due to lost 2FA and security key

    Hi,

    I’m currently locked out of our WordPress.org account. I had enabled two-factor authentication and hardware key security, but I no longer have access to either my security key or any recovery codes.

    My WordPress.org username: pluginbrew
    Email associated with the account: xxxxxxxx@gmail.com

    Could you please help me with account recovery, or let me know the next steps?

    I would recommend sending an email from your email address to forum-password-resets@wordpress.org.

    Actually the password is correct and its working. After logging in it’s asking me to add the recovery code or security key. So, will the password reset work?

    I didn’t write that you should use “Reset password”, but advised you to contact the above email address. There you will find moderators who can help you with your login problem with 2FA. Please bear in mind that these are volunteers and it may take a moment for them to respond.
