Installation Failed: Rank Math SEO – Could Not Copy File

    Hi, I’m encountering an issue while trying to install the Rank Math SEO plugin (latest 2025 version). The installation fails with the following error:

    Installation failed: Could not copy file. seo-by-rank-math/vendor/woocommerce/action-scheduler/classes/WP_CLI/Action/Create_Command.php

    I’ve tried installing it through the WordPress plugin installer, but it consistently fails at this step. I suspect it might be a file permission or file path issue. I’ve attached a screenshot of the error for reference.

    Any help to resolve this would be appreciated.

    Your hosting provider may have established security measures to safeguard the server and site directories against unauthorized alterations, which may prevent you from having the necessary permissions to modify the server and site framework.
     
    File permissions determine who can read, write, or execute files and folders on your server.

    i have updated permission plugin & theme follow to your documents, but still can’t install.

    Hello @muddassirnasim,

    Did you try install any other plugins from the WordPress repository? Do you see the same error? Do you have any constant in the wp-config.php file controlling the FS_METHOD? If so, please share the value with us.

    Also, please check the disk space you have available on your server.


    Another thing you can try is to download the ZIP file from the WordPress repository and install it using FTP directly into the plugins folder on your installation and then activating it from the WordPress dashboard. We understand this is not ideal but it might be able to help you get the plugin installed while we get to the bottom of this issue.
