Image not displaying as main photo in LinkedIn post

We’re using the WP LinkedIn Auto Publish.

Our issue: when publishing a post with a featured image, LinkedIn only shows the image as a link preview thumbnail, not as a large main image in the post.

We expected the featured image to appear above the text, like a native image post on LinkedIn.

The plugin log confirms the featured image is detected:
