Federated posts not showing on Mastodon | WordPress.org

Today, I updated my biography blurb and posted a new article. When I look at the account via Mastodon, the former does not update and the latter doesn’t show up at all. However, when I post the URL link directly through my normal Mastodon account, there is a bullet at the bottom that redirects to my blog account on Mastodon. It’s like my blog is federated partially or something. Here is the link I posted through my regular Mastodon account: https://h4.io/@joshisanonymous/115046684504376856

It looks like your Mastodon instance has not cleared caches, so whenever that happens it will update the bio. It shows up correctly in other instances, like https://mas.to/@Josh@www.joshmcneill.com

For articles to to be sent out to other instances, it requires the account to have a follower from that instance. It doesn’t look like there are currently any followers to send out new posts to.
