• On mobile, by default, there is no left and right padding for blocks other than a couple, including the group block. So on the above page, you can see when a paragraph block is the immediate child of the page template’s content area, it wedges right up against the edges.

    It doesn’t make sense for us to set padding or margins on every paragraph block. It seems like there should be a sensible default.

    Note that I have since added the following to that site to resolve this issue:

    .entry-content > * {
    padding-inline: var(--wp--preset--spacing--x-small);
    }

    You can disable that style using your dev tools to see what it looked like by default.
