Danish translation – Not found in plugin reposit.
-
Hey guys
I have translated this plugin to Danish, so please bump it.
I cannot find the plugin for download in the repository.
Downloading it manually and then installing gives me white screen and out of ressources. What’s the issue?
Looks promising and thanks for the effort. I hope bbp style pack will be ported into the blocks themselves, so that it can be abandoned. Thx
I will provide you with css once tested.

Hi @hebhansen,
Thank you for your translation and for contributing to Enable bbPress for Block Themes plugin.
Please note that I have no control over translations at WordPress.org plugin repository and your translation has to be checked by Danish translation editor before it is available via WordPress update.
I cannot find the plugin for download in the repository.
Thank you for spotting and reporting this. Indeed, even when I type “Enable bbPress for Block Themes” into plugin search field here at WordPress.org plugins repository or in WordPress plugins admin screen, the plugin is listed very low in the list, while it should be the first, I think.
I will contact WordPress.org plugin repository meta team to resolve this issue.

I’ve tested to install the plugin manually (the way you mention) and I don’t experience any issue. Can you please test again?
Can you maybe check the content of the downloaded ZIP file? It should be the same as at https://github.com/webmandesign/enable-bbp-block-theme
I hope bbp style pack will be ported into the blocks themselves, so that it can be abandoned. Thx

I’m sorry, I’m not sure what you mean here. Can you be more specific, please? Thanks.
Best regards,
Oliver
So installing was fixed, by downloading from repository thx
If you plan to add blocks for this plugin with settings of bbpress, I have some snippets for a start.
I have the shortcode tag cloud in my forum. It appears that the links do not work Also the forum search is no longer working. You can give it a swing here. So it appears the redirect for the search function is broken. Is there a way to fix this?
Other than that, things seem quite stable Great work thx.
Alright. I think I have it somehow sorted…….
I have the tag cloud for bbpress. Tags link to a bad link. Also the search goes to the same dead end. https://bindesboell.com/fora/ Feel free to check it here. So I wonder if forum needs a “page” for this to work.
Do you have experience with activating Gutenberg editor for block themes and how is it done. I have TT5.
Thx
Also, is there a way to add featured image to top level forum? Since it’s not a shortcode on a page, but rather a template, how can I accomplish this?

I’ve got a confirmation from WordPress meta team, that plugins with zero or low installs rank lowest in plugin search results. Even if you are searching for the exact plugin name.
So, unless this plugin is used on multiple live WordPress installs, it will be listed very low when searching for the plugin either in your WordPress dashboard or here in WPORG plugin repository.

I’m sorry, this was never planned for the plugin, and it is not on the plugin to-do list.
This plugin is purely for enabling bbPress display when you are using a (new) block theme. The display then works the same it did with classic themes.

I’ve tested with
[bbp-topic-tags]shortcode and it works perfectly fine for me.Also the forum search is no longer working.
It works perfectly fine for me.
So I wonder if forum needs a “page” for this to work.
No, this is not required. The plugin creates a new “bbPress Content” template that works as a collector for displaying all bbPress content.
Please check the plugin description here for more info.

If you are using Twenty Twenty-Five theme, it should display featured image for Forum post type by default. (Please note that you must enable featured images for Forum post type first.)
If you want, you can always create your own Forum template to control the layout – where the featured image is displayed. For this you need to enable block editor for bbPress post types in plugin options, create your Single Forum template in Site Editor, and than disable block editor for bbPress post types (this last step is optional, depending on your needs).
FYI (additional info):
I’m running Enable bbPress for Block Themes plugin on my support forum website and it is working perfectly fine, including search functionality. Please visit https://support.webmandesign.eu/ to test for yourself.
For testing for your issues reported here I used this testing setup:
- WordPress 6.7.2
- bbPress 2.6.12
- Enable bbPress for Block Themes 1.0.0
- Twenty Twenty-Five 1.1 theme
- I also activated Gutenberg 20.6.0 plugin as you mention it here
Everything works perfectly fine for me, without any issues.
Please check your setup, plugins, and custom code that may modify bbPress on your website.
Please test the Enable bbPress for Block Themes plugin on a new vanilla installation of WordPress and bbPress to see that it works and compare it with your website then.
If you have a new issue, please log a new support ticket as this one is getting too complicated, multi-thematic, unmanageable. Thank you for understanding.
