• Hi, we are trying to customize the Single Event comments section in The Events Calendar. Here’s a link.https://snipboard.io/UkTKJ2.jpg

    What we tried:

    • Added tribe/events/single-event/comments.php to the child theme
    • Tried parent theme as well
    • Checked Display, General, and Editing settings
    • Verified block editor is disabled for events
    • Confirmed theme supports template overrides
    • Opened “Single Event – Template” in Site Editor, but it only shows a placeholder and cannot be edited

    Question:

    What steps are needed to correctly override or customize the comments area or the page in gerneral for Single Event pages when using a block theme?

    Hi @stemsrus

    Thanks for your response! I appreciate you taking the time to look into this. Unfortunately, our plugin doesn’t yet offer full support for Full Site Editor themes. It looks like you may be trying to adjust the template through the FSE, and if so, those changes aren’t currently supported.

    As a workaround, you can try adding the following CSS under Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS:

    .single-tribe_events #respond{
    margin-top: 50px;
    }

    .single-tribe_events .comment-content p{
    margin: 10px 0;
    }

    .single-tribe_events .commentlist li.comment{
    margin-bottom: 20px;
    }

    Feel free to tweak the values to fit your layout. Let me know how this works for you—I’m here to help!

    Thank you, that was helpful. Any plans on migrating over to FSE?

    Hi @stemsrus

    I’m glad to hear that the CSS snippet is working well on your end. We do have plans to support FSE themes, and this is already on our roadmap. While we don’t have an exact ETA for when this support will be released, rest assured that we’ll share any updates here in the forum as soon as they become available.

    If you have any other questions in the meantime, feel free to let us know — we’re here to help!
