    Hello World! 😉

    Hi, I’ve installed the WP Dark Mode plugin. When I switch to dark mode, the background does not change – it stays light – while the font color becomes lighter, which makes the site unreadable.

    When I switch back to light mode, everything looks normal. The issue only happens in dark mode.

    Please advise.
    Thanks!

    Could you share the Dark Mode settings of your site? Did you use any preset colors, or are you using the default settings?

    Also, please let us know your theme’s name so we can recreate the issue on our end and suggest the right solution.

    Are you using any template or page builder?
    Could you please share more details so we can recreate a test site exactly like yours?

    Hello, I appreciate you trying to help me!

    I’m not using any Page Builders or anything like that, I do believe that the only thing that I did do, is: I selected “Sherbet” style in “Styles” (one of many styles (presets) that comes with the theme).

    Thanks again 😉

    This issue happens because your site has a background color set in the code. A specific color variable is causing it. To fix it, just update the background setting in your theme’s CSS.

    Replace this:

    body { background: var(--wp--preset--gradient--primary-secondary-tertiary); }

    With this:

    body { background-color: var(--wp--preset--gradient--primary-secondary-tertiary); }

    That’s it – this small change should solve the problem.
