6.9 RC3 Still mentioning Fit Text option

    Fit text option of paragraph/heading block was dropped during beta, but still we see it in the Admin Screen’s about page.

    How to

    1. From Admin Screen, Click Dashboard and click “Learn more about the 6.9 version”
    2. Search “Fit text to container”. It says
      Content that adapts.
      A new typography option for text-based blocks, starting with the Paragraph and Heading blocks, that automatically adjusts font size to fill its container perfectly.

    But this option was dropped during the beta, and now we have block variation instead of it.

    This section should be updated.

    Yes, you are correct that the “Fit text to container” option was removed during the 6.9 beta period, and the final release uses the block variation approach instead (as mentioned in Gutenberg issue #72947).

    The reference you found in the Dashboard → About 6.9 screen appears to describe the earlier beta behavior. It may simply need to be updated to match the final implementation.
