My client’s previous webmaster passed away suddenly in October and we don’t have his logins, and we are desperately trying to salvage this business’s website without have to rebuild it completely.

We simply need access to the WordPress site to migrate it to another host or transfer it to another/ new account.

Can you help or advise

This article lists several completely different ways to reset your password. Any one of them will work and do the job. Find the one that’s right for you and use that: https://wordpress.org/support/article/resetting-your-password/. Using PHPMYADMIN, per this article, will let you see the wp_users table and reset the password of your original admin.

You’ll need access to the hosting site, so please contact their support.
