I've completely lost the option to reload in IE mode on multiple different pc's that uses edge as of today. Its set to allow in edge://settings/defaultBrowser and I've even added sites to it to try to force it to work that way but no luck. I have old software that runs from a local networked computer that only runs in IE mode. Anyone having this issue and found a fix/work around? I've also reset default settings in IE, cleared cache/history, rebooted pc, and disabled/re-enabled that setting.
I'm also seeing this in my environment. Would appreciate any potential fixes.
Same here. Did same things to try and fix but still cannot see an option to Reload in IE.
If it's allowed, you can add a site in Edge settings that will hold for 30 days. Otherwise, you have to add through Intune or GPO. Going to verify that later today.
As a temporary fix, this worked for me.
Adding to the page list did not work to get it to load in IE mode. I had to roll back edge to 140.0.3485.110 and the menu item came back. Microsoft Edge rollback for enterprises | Microsoft Learn
Rolling back allowed me to use that option again. Nothing else worked for me. Thanks for that information. Still would like to know if anyone finds an actual fix for current version of Edge.

add this on regedit
or use this command on cmd
reg add "HKCU\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Edge" /v InternetExplorerIntegrationLevel /t REG_DWORD /d 1 /f
restart your edge browser and the IE icon will now appear in the upper right and the settings

After the Microsoft folder im getting lost, no edge folder available ( in another folder it is, but there i cannot find specified value )

If you don't see the Edge Folder within the registry, make one and add the line item through ref edit admin and it should function the same as doing it by the command key above! fixed our issue this way.

Turn on the internet explorer mode icon on the toolbar
Then you can open the page using the toolbar icon. This happened to me today too.

That's just the thing, that option is removed entirely with the new update (142.XXX and up).
That choice was also missing from my settings when my icon was removed. They only solution that worked is a few comments down.
This is what we used to enable, but this option also disappeared in recent updates.
The registry fix from Ryan Melitante restores this option in the settings menu (while also enabling it).
In internet settings under Default Browser, toggle the dropdown for "Allow sites to be reloaded in Internet Explorer Mode". I switched from Allow > Default > Allow, and the notification bar asking to use IE returned back. Weird but it works.

After a week of testing multiple solutions - I rolled back to 1.21 and disabled the update of MS-Edge. However, years ago MS tried to make the IE anon removable part of the OS - and was forced to remove this function. Edge 141 cannot be removed at all. I went through the hard procedure to install new, w/o auto updates. MS- Where are you heading for?
you might want to consider editing the registry as noted above.
Microsoft, here's an idea! Why don't you update RDS (RDWEB) so that it doesn't require Internet Explorer 11 to work properly. In default Edge, the the option to connect to Users Desktops doesn't show.
