This week we had the pleasure of welcoming a group of plastic surgeons from Turkey to our POLYTECH headquarters in Germany. During their visit, we guided them through our production facilities and shared insights into how our implants are manufactured, from the materials we work with to the quality and safety steps built into every stage of the process. A particular highlight was the conversation with our CEO, Prof. Dr. Karsten Hemmrich, who discussed clinical needs, product design considerations, and the role of innovation in supporting surgeons and patients. The exchange was insightful and greatly appreciated by everyone involved. Thank you to our visitors for their time and interest!

Expanding Horizons in Breast Surgery: POLYTECH Masterclass in Stockholm 📍 Akademikliniken | 🗓️ November 23–24, 2025 This past weekend, a group of surgeons joined Dr. Tommaso Pellegatta at Akademikliniken Stockholm for an advanced POLYTECH Live Surgery Masterclass focused on refining surgical outcomes with polyurethane-covered implants. The course began with concise, expert-led lectures on consultation strategies, implant choice, and patient-focused planning using the full POLYTECH portfolio. On Day 2, participants attended a full morning of live surgeries — with Microthane® implants placed in all anatomical planes across four cases. We thank all participants and the Akademikliniken team for making this an enriching educational experience!

We are present at the 61st Congresso Brasileiro de Cirurgia Plástica, held from November 12th-15th. This congress stands as one of the most influential scientific gatherings in the region, bringing together Brazil’s surgical community and fostering knowledge exchange at the highest level. Our CEO, Prof. Prof. Dr. Karsten Hemmrich, is onsite supporting POLLUX BRASIL, one of our most important international markets and a longstanding partner in our global journey. Radiation therapy remains one of the toughest challenges in reconstructive breast surgery. A study by Loreti et al. demonstrates that Microthane® polyurethane-covered implants maintain stable, low complication rates, even in patients receiving radiation therapy (1).
